Russia. Talab islands - June

Still, Russia has a lot of hidden places waiting to be uncovered. Some of them are surprisingly close to the big cities where we live. For example, the Talab islands. 1 hour from Pskov or 4 hours by train from St. Petersburg.

These islands are located on the Pskov lake near the border with Estonia. These islands are famous not only for their beautiful location but also for a famous priest - Nikolai Gurianov, who lived here. This is why pilgrims continually traveled the islands from all over the country.

I went there with a tour group, but it is possible to reach it on your own (though it is a bit hard because the public transport schedule, especially boats, is not convenient). The boat starts from Tolbitsa village and takes you to Beglova island in 15 minutes.
